Leistungsgegenstand

Leadenhall market external cyclical work Phase 2 (formerly Phases 4 & 5) is essential in the maintenance and upkeep of the Grade II* listed building and one of London’s most iconic and historic markets, accommodating a vibrant mix of retail, hospitality and commercial uses. The market experiences particularly high levels of footfall during the lunchtime and evening trading periods, requiring careful planning and coordination of the works to minimise disruption. The works include providing scaffold access to the building envelope and roofs; identifying and rectifying defects to the Portland stone and masonry fabric; restoring and redecorating the ornate roof structure; and undertaking associated joinery repairs and alterations to building services, including the relocation of cable trays and other ancillary elements where required. The scope also covers specialist artwork, stencil artwork, and gilding, slate roofing, leadwork, sash windows, rooftop metal walkways and gantries, rainwater goods, and other essential maintenance necessary to preserve and maintain the building’s historic fabric and ongoing operation.
